Dani-YGO OC

EDIT: If you can't tell, this is basically a colored sketch ( as with most of my PS stuff until I'm better at it) not an excuse for all the stuff wrong with it, but there ya go.



Once upon a time I had a horrible Mary-Sue OC for Yu-Gi-Oh ( this was back around 2004 and between '04 and 07 she went through at least 2 re writes I believe. )
Her name was Aiyume ( which seems to be a fairly common OC name 0.o) and boy was she just bad. She shows up out of nowhere and has this horrid past in a secret society and her ancient Egyptian self was Atem's step sister. And she was in love with Kaiba. >.< *facedesk* The half a fan fic I wrote ( well re-wrote, since the first was just really really really bad. And short) was, not badly written but full of cliches. The plot would have been interesting if it hadn't been in the YGO universe.

Anyways, recently I was hanging out with and she caught me up with Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged! which is the shit, and it got me back into Yu-Gi-Oh. ( its all her fault, really XD ) So I figured I would try and redraw my OC. I've changed her name to Dani. Shes now a brash young American girl whos found her way to Japan. Why, well because shit happened and shes on the lamb man.

She is not sweet, she is not innocent. I'm quite sick and tired of seeing all the main female-leads in anime be all cute and innocent and shit and the fiesty one gets relegated to the annoying/mother-hen type. I see this trend with OCs too ( no offense if your's is like that ) so I'm shaking things up. I figure Kaiba would need the kind of girl who can knock him on his ass occasionally and tell him to stop being an ass-hole.

Anyways, blah blah blah she ends up getting a job working for Kaiba, primarily looking after Mokuba and making sure he doesn't get kidnapped for the 850th time.

Now for a shocker, she is NOT a duelist! in fact she royally blows at the game and thinks its silly that people keep putting the fate of the world on a childrens card game. So that, and to stop would be kidnappers, is why she's packing.

She is a bit of a gamer, but its more along the lines of normal video games/PC games.

She does not have a super special awesome past life. I scrapped that idea. See when I first came up with my OC many years ago it was right as the Battle City arc was airing so I didn't know anything about the majority of the Egyptian stuff, including Kisara ( which I still haven't seen, but wiki is my friend) And I want to stick as close to cannon as possible. So, no shoving Kisara out of the picture to insert my OC in ancient Egypt.
However, I highly, highly doubt Kisara will be making an appearence in modern day. Not unless Kaiba really cracks and marries his Blue-Eys cards.

Her story takes place after the show but before GX. because fuck GX, and fuck Card-games-on-motorcycles, and fuck Zexal.
I will not watch them, you can't make me. ( except for the random episode that Kaiba appears in in GX )

About the art. Ooooooouuuch, my hand hurts. Also the background sucks. I tried to give it a proper one but it kept screwing with the colors, so I just had fun with the filters.

Also yes, I know all my OCs are red-heads. Red-heads are hot.

Also I have no idea how old Mokuba actually is. So I'm going to go with the American ages ( meaning Kaiba would be 18 and Mokuba 12? or.....I have no idea) so I suppose this is about 2 years after the show ends.
